Aaron Donald is a stand up guy. He lost his cool during the game and got kicked out. I like that he did not dodge the media and accepted responsibility for his actions. Proud he is a Ram!

Aaron Donald not expected to be suspended

The Rams’ season couldn’t have started off on a worse foot.

Los Angeles defensive star Aaron Donald was ejected in the fourth quarter after he made contact with a ref. Immediately before that, he drew a personal foul penalty when he grabbed 49ers wideout Quinton Patton’s neck and ripped off his helmet.

The 49ers were leading 21-0 when Donald got ejected, and added more salt to the wound by finding the end zone once more after the fireworks to win by a final score of 28-0.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported Tuesday that Donald is expected to be fined but not suspended for making contact with an official.

After the game, Donald didn’t make excuses for what happened.

“I was just seeing something happening and just tried to run over there and help one of my guys,” Donald said. “And, like I said, it was just a dumb decision on my part.”

Donald went on to lament the Rams’ poor showing in the blowout loss.

“Any time you lose like that, you’re going to be embarrassed,” he said. “It’s not the way we play. That was not our best football, and we know that. We got to play a lot harder.”

Rams coach Jeff Fisher told reporters that Donald was remorseful about what led to his ejection.

“He just apologized to me there. He just lost his composure there … he just wants to win,” Fisher said. “He’s a great person. He’s frustrated he lost his poise.”

Don’t let em worry you Aaron, wish the rest of the team had as much heart as you do.
