Buccaneers assistant taking co-defensive coordinator role at Illinois

The Buccaneers are losing an assistant to the collegiate ranks. Assistant defensive line coach Mike Phair is the new co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach at the University of Illinois, the school announced Friday. Phair joined the Buccaneers’ coaching staff in 2014. He was previously an assistant with the Bears (2011-2013) and the Seahawks (2008-2010).…
