QUARTERBACK:
Two of Frerotte’s three INTs should never have been thrown; one was returned
for a game-changing TD.
GRADE: D
RUNNING BACK:
Leonard topped 100 yards and averaged 5.7 yards per carry; maybe he should’ve
gotten the ball more often.
GRADE: B +
RECEIVERS:
Bennett and McMichael both finally found the end zone; Holt should have caught
pass that led to Frerotte’s first INT.
GRADE: C
OFFENSIVE LINE:
Blocking wasn’t bad, all things considered, but Incognito’s 50 yards’ worth of
penalties were just plain dumb.
GRADE: C
DEFENSIVE LINE:
Got decent pressure but no sacks; good against the run for all four quarters —
for a change.
GRADE: B minus
LINEBACKER:
Witherspoon had a very active day, knocking Leinart out of the game with a
sack; unit is struggling in coverage.
GRADE: C+
SECONDARY
Brown’s season debut at corner included 2 interceptions, but Walls’ play is
still hurting team.
GRADE: C+
SPECIAL TEAMS
Wilkins ends FG skid, Jones punts well again, Hall has big return, coverage
units good, Carriker blocks FG.
GRADE: B+
COACHING
Use of no-huddle, more creative play-calling by Linehan helped offense; defense
played with more intensity.
GRADE: C
