The Rams as I Remember Them

I became a Rams fan in the early 70s when I lived in California for a few years as a kid. I remember Lawrence McCutcheon, Jack Youngblood and Merlin Olson very well. The Rams fielded great teams every year in the 70s and were almost always picked by the preseason magazines as Superbowl finalists. It wasn’t until 1979 that they made their first Superbowl and lost a close game to the Pittsburgh Steelers. All those years of rooting for the Rams made the “Greatest Show on Turf” era that much sweeter.
